I’m running for State House to be a strong advocate for the future of this great state. I believe focusing on a strong education system, preparing Alaska to be a leader in energy, and ensuring we maintain our strong tradition of individual freedoms for the collective good. As your representative I will listen and seek to understand so we can find common ground for the good of all Alaskans.
Education is the best investment we can make in the long-term success of our people, economy, and future. As your representative, I will fight for our community to ensure our students have access to high quality education from Pre-K through our University and trade schools. I'll also be a consistent and vocal advocate for stable and adequate funding for our local schools, the university, and trade and apprenticeship opportunities.
Alaskans value community, but we also value independence and the right to not have the government interfere with our personal affairs. I will uphold our state's constitution that protects the inherent right to privacy for all Alaskans. I will fight to ensure government doesn't interfere with your personal decisions, including personal health care decisions best left up to Alaskans and their physician.
Alaska's abundant natural resources provide vast opportunities for responsible resource development to continue to secure affordable energy and create good-paying jobs for the people of this state. I believe Alaska should work to be energy independent by harnessing traditional energy but expanding affordable renewable energies and working to address the looming natural gas crisis.
I will always put the interests of Alaska and our community first. I'll work to invest in Alaskans' future by working across the aisle for policies like affordable childcare, economic growth and workforce development, strong infrastructure, public safety, and affordable housing.
All Alaskans deserve to be safe and secure in their homes and communities. As I've gone door-to-door, community safety, addiction, and homelessness are top concerns for friends and neighbors. As a father, husband, and small business owner, I know how important public safety is and will always be a champion for our community's safety and security. I am proud to be endorsed by our Anchorage Firefighters and Police and am committed to working together to ensure a safe and healthy community.
With Alaska's resources and effective and responsible leadership, we can fund the services Alaskans depend on, including a strong education system, safe communities, economic growth, good roads and infrastructure, and a sustainable growing PFD without burdening Alaskans with new taxes. I am committed to passing an effective spending cap, protecting the Permanent Fund, growing and defending the PFD, promoting fiscal responsibility, and opposing new taxes on Alaskans. Together, we can ensure a bright prosperous future for all Alaskans.
